Today we finished editing and added some effects and changed some of the colour in the final scenes. We did this because we wanted to make colour appear gradually as the ending is in full vibrant colour.
We also chose to change the version of the instrumental of Icona Pop's 'I Don't Care'. We did this as the original version chosen had too much of an upbeat tempo, and didn't match the speed of film shot. We managed to find one that was slower and a better acoustic version. This was done by James Dalby. The visuals blend well and far better than before.
Credits were then added to the end of the video giving a more professional feel and look.
We used Adobe Premier Pro on a Mac for all editing.
We understood that choosing the song we did, it could lead to a varied range of interpretations. Some examples are;
The lyrics 'I Don't Care' can give the impression that the girls in the video don't care about the black bags they are wearing, and this is not really what we were after.
The black bags are worn by all the girls and this gives the impression that the girls simply wore the bags for a day and don't care what people think. However we intended for them to all look the same, with the impression they were following a crowd, and not happy with the way they looked.
When they come out all dressed differently, it is mixed with the lyrics 'I Don't Care' and thus giving the impression the girls don't care what people think, showing the interpretation we were after :)
Having watched the final video, we made the decision to conclude that the narrative will be interpretative.

Friday 21st March
Today i took part in some editing. I chose to experiment with some transitions, to allow the video to show some effects between scenes. I used a dissolve to white transition, and this had a lovely effect going into a slow motion scene.
I also added some other effects that were later removed as they didn't blend well with particular shots.

False Perspective
Today we took photos of false perspective stills.
The topic of pictures we included were:
Ellen Filming February 27th
Today we filmed Ellen doing her scene of falling off the skateboard. She struggled with this as rather then falling off she looked as though she is just stepping off. This caused filming to take some time. We tried different angles and managed in the end to get a good shot of Ellen almost falling off the skateboard.
